LTL Dispatcher

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assign drivers to appropriate routes based on their availability, skills and the specific requirements of each delivery, while optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive master list of all routes and shipments, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
  • Provide support to drivers regarding routes and delivery issue resolution while keeping them informed of necessary maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure all routes are properly covered in case of a driver absence or unavailability.
  • Inform clients of any factors that may affect their delivery, including accidents, roadside breakdowns, emergencies, and other relevant incidents.
  • Keep our computerized Transportation Management System (TMS) up to date.
  • On-site training provided.
PROFILE
  • One year of relevant experience.
  • High school diploma.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage emergency situations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients via email and phone.
  • Punctuality, professionalism and strong work ethic.
  • Resourcefulness and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite, including Excel.
  • Functional bilingualism (French, English).*
