Founded in 1935, Groupe Lafrance stands as undeniable proof that a business can survive the test of time and evolve by being closely managed by professionals by understanding its clients needs and by anticipating industry trends. In an effort to continually adapt our services — from a humble business whose activities focused on conventional freight — we began to specialize in container-based transport in the 1980s.

Thanks to a flexible business plan, major investments in equipment and infrastructure and recruitment strategies that foster better staff retention, we have succeeded in acquiring a significant market share.

In the early 1990s, we built our first warehouse strategically located less than 2 kilometers from the Port of Montreal to continue our diversification. Our plan has fully materialized as we now offer specialized, turnkey services, a unique offering that allowed us to standout from the competition and to continue to do so to this day.

Today, Groupe Lafrance owns 4 warehouses near the Port of Montreal, an updated extensive fleet of equipment, a mechanic centre and has a team of more than 180 employees, partners, and subcontractors. Our goal is to continue growing in accordance to industry and client needs.
